ABOUT THE CHOIR
Our varied repertoire is based around the principal classical choral works, ranging from Mozart, Haydn, Fauré, Brahms and Vaughan Williams, to occasionally pieces written by our own talented conductor, Rory Freckleton. You can find out more about Rory here.
Mozart, Vaughan Williams, Brahms....and Freckleton?
We have currently about 45 members and we would love to grow. As a community choir, we won't ask you to audition, just come and try us. You will be very warmly welcomed as a soprano or alto or in our strong bass and tenor sections.
Rory keeps us on our toes in the friendliest way at our rehearsals every Monday from 7.30 to 9.30 at Wesley Methodist Church, Brierley Hill, so join us from September 3rd. It can only do you good! The church has its own car park. You can find out more about joining here.
The Choir was founded in a thriving Brierley Hill in 1933, and gave its first concert in 1934. 85 years and a new millenium later, we are still going strong! As well as singing, we also enjoy getting together for a number of social events during our season; find out more here.
Or why not come along to one of our concerts? Always well attended and well received, they are usually followed by a drink and a bite to eat. Our concerts this season will feature Handel's Messiah, Vivaldi, and carols in December 2018, and Mendelssohn's St Paul in April 2019 when we will be joined by Halesowen Choral Society. You can find out more about our concerts here.
Why not come and join us?
