Our Concerts

We have two concerts each season, in December and May.

Recent December concerts have included such works as ; Gloria - Vivaldi; This is the Record of John - Gibbons; Mass of the Children and the Magnificat - Rutter; Cantata 140 and 147 - Bach; Hodie and Fantasia on Christmas Carols - Vaughan Williams; The Spirit of the Lord is upon me - Elgar Lay a Garland - Pearsall; and Messiah part 1 to name a few, together with many more traditional Christmas items. Our 2011 December concert was at St Michael's Church, Brierley Hill when we sang Elgar's Music Makers together with Christmas Carols and Readings.

The main work in our May 2011 concert was “A German Requiem” by Brahms, which was well received by a large audience. Our next May concert will be on May 12^th 2012 when we will perform Haydn’s Creation.

Recent May concerts have included ; Dido and Aeneas - Purcell; Requiem - Fauré and Mozart; Missa Cellensis - Haydn; Magnificat - Schubert; Gloria - Poulenc, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Bach’s Cantata No. 4

Both concerts this season will be at St Michael’s Church, Brierley Hill and followed by a chance to relax with the choir and soloists over a drink, and refreshments.
